Translated from the Australian Aboriginal word "guliman;" the Coolamon is based on the ancient vessel they carved from hardwood trees. It was a multi-purpose tool, that could carry water, berries, nuts, various "bush tucker" and even babies!

This stunning piece replicates this artifact, with its authentic Aboriginal dot painting design. Like the original Coolamon, this piece is designed to be used. A beautiful centrepiece which can be used to serve food, display fruits, use as a cheese or bread board or whatever creative purposes you can find!

Durable enough to be put in the freezer and the oven. Its high-raised curves are eye-catching and will stand out in your home decor.

Pattern Info: The Dot Painting imagery is designed by a Wulwulam Aboriginal artist from the Woolwonga tribe. Dot paintings are a form of artistic expression which have been hand painted by Austalian Aboriginal people for millenia; each region having its own style and evolution into today's contemporary forms.
